What a brilliant gig! Not only were the support band half decent (makes a change!) but Isobel's voice didn't piss me off anywhere near as much as I'd anticipated! I could have done without the two Spanish blokes in front of me screaming all the way through it as if they were at a football match... but that's the risk you take when you mingle with the public.
They played a very good set, a nice mix of both albums- Come On Over, Turn Me On was fantastic, better than the album version I reckon. Then they ended the set with Wedding Dress which was astoundingly good.
The lighting was very very dim, and Mr Lanegan wouldn't have reacted too well to having flashbulbs going off right in his face, so the only photos I got where you can actually see anything were taken at exactly the same time as the journo next to me. Who was then promptly told off for using his flash.
